Per a report from TEAMtalk, Leeds are one of the teams interested in landing free agent Nemanja Radoja.
Due to the Serbian not having a club, he can currently sign for the Whites outside of the transfer window.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men face competition for the midfielder’s signature, however, with West Ham and Brighton in the chasing pack.
Radoja’s last club was Celta Vigo but if Leeds did indeed pursue him, it would be a gamble.

On the chalkboard
Leeds had to withstand a season last term where injuries to some of their brightest players had an adverse effect on the team.
Kemar Roofe had a period out whilst Patrick Bamford even missed 22 matches because of two issues.
Their squad is pretty thin as it is and on the face of it, adding an extra body would seem beneficial.
Yet, if they go for someone like Radoja, it would be risky.
Why? Because he failed to play a single minute of football last term, being reduced to training sessions.
On that evidence, he will severely lack match fitness and it may take a while for him to get up to speed. That’s not to mention the fact that an injury is far easier to sustain if you haven’t been involved competitively for such a long time.
Eldesmarque claimed that because of the two-cap Serb refusing to sign a new deal last summer, he was left out and thus, there could also be a deep-rooted problem with his attitude too.

But the fact is, Leeds would be dipping their toes into the unknown and could be wasting wages.
He was invisible in La Liga last season so it’s not as though the club will have had a great chance to scout him either.
Radoja possesses impressive tackling stats, winning 2.3 per game in 2016/17 but whether he’d be able to replicate that two years on after a lack of action seems questionable.
On the balance of everything that has happened with the 26-year-old, Leeds may be better off maintaining what they have.
After all, their midfield isn’t exactly a position Bielsa is lacking in options.
At present, they also have the likes of Mateusz Bogusz, Jamie Shackleton and Alfie McCalmont rising through the ranks.
