Caldentey has been at Barca for the last 10 years and won everything there is to win during that time – lifting five league titles, six Copa de la Reina trophies, enjoying four Supercopa Femenina triumphs and claiming three Women's Champions League crowns. She played a starring role in the latest of the latter, when Barca beat Lyon at the end of May.

However, though the Catalans tried to renew her contract, the Spain forward is now set for a new adventure. There were links to Washington Spirit in the United States, which is the next destination for current Barca boss Jonatan Giraldez, but it has been widely reported that Caldentey is set to join Arsenal in the Women's Super League instead.
WHAT CALDENTEY SAID
In a statement on social media, Caldentey wrote: "I just hope you remember me as that player who gave everything for this club, because all the effort, the sacrifice, the difficult times with injuries or defeats have been worth it in order to be able to say out loud that I am and always I will be very proud to have been part of this family."
